The Frozen Lands of

SKUTAGAARD

The icy wastes, pristine fjords, and frozen crags of Skutagaard are the homeland of the Northmen and the Dwarf King. In its most remote regions, the eternal ice never yields to summer, and ancient cairns draw their strength from the wet and lightless abysses below.

The creatures of Skutagaard are hardened by this merciless land, and rarely are they granted a second chance. In the depths, the trolls of Drungvandel and the draugar, awakened by the Lich Lord Skutagaard, wage an endless war.

Once known as the Northern Kingdom, this land was claimed by the necromancer who ruled it as a god-king, giving it his name.

Skutagaard still bears the scars of the corruption he seeded into the land, and when the Mighty Trinity, the three legendary champions of Skutagaard now revered as ascended divinities, brought an end to the reign of the Lich Lord Skutagaard, they chose to leave the name of the fallen tyrant upon the land, “so none will forget when the Three sent him back to his grave”.

The island of Frostheart, where the Lord of Death once slew a colossal dread Linnorm, was the greatest source of gold in the world, where the Dwarves built Goldvein. Still unreclaimed, Frostheart remains at the heart of every Dwarf of Mundus, their grudge unbroken until the island is taken back from the colossal wingless dragon that now claims it.

It is said that Skutagaard is where the world ends, and beyond its towering frozen peaks, where the Frost Jotunn dwell, nothing lies but the edge of the world itself.
