The Hobgoblins, taller and meaner cousins of the goblins, are recognizable by their elongated bodies and red skin, with pale patches on their chests and faces. Stronger and more imposing than their smaller kin, they are cunning and cruel.
From the depths of the Faldorn Forest, they raid with barbed armor, jagged weapons, and fearsome arbalests, leaving shattered caravans and vanished explorers as grim reminders of their savagery. Their growing numbers and ruthless tactics now threaten to plunge the lands surrounding Faldorn into chaos.
Warhog Riders
"Charge! Crush them beneath the tusks of Grimbog's beasts!" – Hobgoblin Warhog Rider
Mounted on grotesque and muscular Warhogs, the Faldorn Warhog Riders are the perfect cavalry for the Hobgoblin hordes.
These twisted boar-like creatures, covered in crude armor and bristling with spikes, charge headlong into enemy lines, their limbs deceptively swift. The riders themselves are armed with rusty spears and small shields, expertly striking down foes from the saddle. Whether harassing supply lines or charging into the heart of battle, the Warhog Riders are the terror of Rotvar’s caravans.
Warchief Girroz - The High
"All bow before me. By fear, or by force." – Girroz
Warchief Girroz, known as “The High,” is no mere leader of raiders; he is the self-proclaimed king of the Faldorn Forest, ruling with a cruel and calculating hand over the Hobgoblins and the Goblins. Even Malgob Firegut, leader of the goblins of Faldorn bow at his feet.
Standing taller than any of his kin, Girroz is a commanding figure, clad in jagged armor and armed with a magic hammer, symbols of Grimbog’s dark blessings.
His fiery gaze and sharp intellect make him not only a physical threat but also a master of strategy and manipulation.
Unlike his brutish kin, Girroz possesses a sinister charisma, able to rally Hobgoblins, goblins, and even beasts. His rise to power was no accident—it is whispered that Girroz entered a dark pact with Grimbog himself, Lord of the goblins.
Under Girroz’s rule, the Faldorn tribes have become a unified force, no longer content to linger in the shadows of Rotvar. His raids are swift and devastating, leaving caravans protected by organized armies destroyed, with the few survivors whispering his name in terror. Yet his ambition reaches far beyond Faldorn; Girroz dreams of conquest, his eyes set on the human cities of Rotvar and the treasures they hold.
To face Girroz in battle is to confront not just a warrior but a tyrant, a king whose cruelty knows no bounds. Few who have looked into his blazing eyes and heard his commanding voice have lived to tell the tale.
Hobgrog the Brewmaster
"Hobgrog the Brewmaster is here! Fancy a pint of grog? Just… don't ask what's in it."
— Hobgrog the Brewmaster
Hobgrog is no ordinary Hobgoblin. Twisted by his obsession with alchemy and his devotion to Grimbog, he has become the foul heart of the Faldorn tribe, concocting brews that fuel their war machine. Whether it’s a cauldron of berserker grog to send goblins into a frenzied charge or a vial of toxic sludge to coat arrows and blades, Hobgrog’s creations are as unpredictable as they are deadly.
This mad alchemist gathers venom from the haiy spiders of his forest, grinds cursed mushrooms, and even whispers incantations over his bubbling pots to imbue them with chaotic magic.
Despite his grotesque humor and apparent joviality, Hobgrog is feared even among his kin. His brews have turned allies into monsters, and those who displease him often end up as unwilling ingredients in his next experiment.
In battle, Hobgrog is never far from the fray, cackling as he hurls toxic flasks into enemy lines, when he's not beating skulls with his ladle. He may not be the strongest warrior, but his wicked intelligence and volatile creations make him one of the most dangerous figures in the Faldorn tribes. For Hobgrog, every brew is a masterpiece—and every battle is the perfect testing ground.
Grenia the Shaman
"The winds whisper of Grimbog’s will, and I obey." – Grenia
Grenia, a beautiful Hobgoblin shaman and devoted servant of Grimbog, channels the chaotic energies of the Faldorn Forest as matriarch of the Faldorn Hobgoblins. With her enchanted staff and grotesque charms, she performs dark rituals that empower her kin and curse their enemies.
Though graceful in appearance, Grenia’s true power lies in her ability to sway the tide of battle, weaving spells that strike fear into the hearts of those who oppose the Hobgoblin tribes.
Bloodtusk - King of the Hogs
"Bow to your conqueror, or be crushed beneath the hooves of the king of the hogs!" – Girroz
Bloodtusk was no mere beast, but a living nightmare birthed in the darkest depths of the Faldorn Forest. With glowing, hate-filled eyes and tusks sharp enough to shatter stone, the monstrous hog was a terror even to the Hobgoblins. For years, the creature roamed the cursed woods, untamed and unchallenged, leaving a trail of destruction wherever it went.
No one knows what cruelty Warchief Girroz unleashed to break Bloodtusk’s will. Whispers among the Hobgoblins speak of tortures, fiery brands, and weeks of unrelenting torment to bend the beast to his command. Even now, Bloodtusk’s obedience is tenuous, and only Girroz’s iron grip keeps it from turning on its riders.
With its fiendish presence and glowing eyes, Bloodtusk is more than a mount: it is a force of chaos, charging into battle like an storm. Entire lines of defenders have crumbled beneath its monstrous tusks, and its piercing roar is a sound no warrior ever forgets.
Hobgoblin Catapult
"Let the skies rain ruin upon them!" – Hobgoblin Siege Engineer
The Hobgoblin Catapult is a crude but devastating siege weapon, crafted from twisted wood and iron scavenged from their countless raids. Loaded with spiked boulders, barrels of burning pitch, or even grotesque “gifts” for their enemies, the catapult is a terrifying tool of destruction. Pulled into battle by their smaller goblin kin, these siege engines rain chaos upon the battlefield, breaking lines and morale alike.
